TwinCity
About
TwinCity is a DestinE demonstrator, that provides a city-scale digital twin to support urban analysis and decision-making. It integrates heterogeneous satellite data, lidar data and model output, to provide insights about climate, energy and urban nature, suitable for policymakers. This instance showcases its usage on the French city of Marseilles.
Objectives
TwinCity aims to demonstrate how urban digital twins can improve planning and decision-making in data-scarce environments. It focuses on interoperability and open standards, bringing the extracted data both as a web service, for non-experts to extract relevant KPIs, and as OGC compliant services, to be used by data-scientists with powerful open source tools such as QGis.
