This episode introduces the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in DestinE, and focuses on how AI developments can support the quantification of uncertainty in the Digital Twins’ high-resolution simulations.
Through creative storytelling, Rosa guides audiences on a journey into the basics of weather science, explaining how ensemble forecasts such as those performed operationally at ECMWF every day help quantify forecast uncertainty. From there, she helps viewers understand the important role AI plays in the context of DestinE’s Digital Twins.
